LUKE DEACON
Luke Deacon is a contemporary Australian painter and director of Noosa Art Gallery. With over two decades of experience teaching and exhibiting art within Australia and internationally, his work explores the meeting of nature, spirit, and abstraction. Drawing inspiration from the coastal light and rhythms of Noosa and the Sunshine Coast, Luke’s paintings evoke a sense of stillness and movement, reflecting the emotional tides of place and memory. His layered, gestural approach captures the energy of the landscape while inviting quiet contemplation. Alongside his studio practice, Luke is dedicated to fostering community through art education, exhibitions, and creative experiences.
