LUKE DEACON
Luke Deacon is a contemporary Australian painter based on the Sunshine Coast, his work emerges from an ongoing engagement with the coastal landscape through walking, surfing, meditation, and painting. Working between plein air observation, memory and studio practice, he develops semi-abstract paintings that explore the relationship between direct experience, memory, and place. His paintings reflect a sustained fascination with the rhythms, forms, and subtle transformations of the coast.
